5th Annual Putting Challenge!
The Klamath County Chamber of Commerce announces the return of the Annual Putting Challenge!! The Putting Challenge will be held on Friday, August 22, 2008 at the Running Y Ranch Resort's Executive Putting Course. This event was designed specifically to be a fun event for family, friends and co-workers.
The 5th Annual Putting Challenge will continue that theme and also encourage local businesses to use it as a fun and inexpensive team-building event. The Chamber is sending out a “Corporate Kahuna Challenge” to local businesses to form a team and compete against other local businesses for the title of “Corporate Kahuna Champions.” The winning team will be awarded the Corporate Kahuna trophy to proudly display in their offices and defend the championship at the next putting challenge in 2009! The team members of the low gross team will receive their own “Big Kahuna Award” trophies and the team will receive a $200.00 check.
Even with the Corporate Kahuna Challenge the event will be held true to a fun filled no experience necessary theme by designing an award recognizing those teams that were not exactly on their game or are inexperienced. Executive Director, Chip Massie explained, “This year we want to encourage businesses to come out and work on team building through our Putting Challenge. As part of that we encourage new comers to participate.” “The Duffer Award” will recognize the team with the highest gross score. Each team member on the losing team will also receive their own trophies and the team will receive a $100.00 check. Participants can also receive the Ace in the Hole Award (hole in one) for $25.00.
The Putting Challenge will be played as a basic four-man scramble and anyone who wants to have a great time can enter. For non-golfers and golfers alike this is the perfect golf tourney for you! The entry fee is $35.00 per person or $100.00 per team of four golfers-put together a team or just enter yourself. Afterwards teams will be able to enjoy a catered dinner during the award ceremony. And don't forget to bring some money for the raffle!
