Klamath Chamber Ambassadors to Bid on '08 Convention!

August 2006

The Klamath County Chamber Ambassadors are gearing up to bid for the 2008 Chamber of Commerce Statewide Ambassadors — Greeters Convention. The Convention happens once a year and is a platform for over 300 Ambassadors and Greeters from around the State to come together, network and learn more about the Host City that the convention is held at.

The Ambassador Convention is held over a four day period beginning on a Thursday evening and ending on Sunday. During the four days the states ambassadors meet for breakfast and then head out on tours of the region. These tours consist of visiting various tourist attractions. After the tours the ambassadors regroup for dinner, hospitality suites and other convention events.

Bidding for the Statewide Ambassadors — Greeters Convention is no easy process our Klamath Chamber Ambassadors will have to showcase our community by bringing two baskets to giveaway, hosting a hospitality suite as well as providing a skit/video presentation at this years convention. This year's convention will be held in Roseburg on September 21st - 24th. On the last day of the convention the statewide Ambassadors and Greeters will vote on who will receive the 2008 Convention.

The Klamath Ambassadors need community support to make this happen! They are asking businesses and organizations to consider donating giveaways for the baskets and for the hospitality suite! For more information on how you can donate or if you would like to donate please email our Ambassador Chair Shari Watterberg at shariw@uci.net or contact Sarah Weldon at sweldon@klamath.org , 884-5193.
